Wat Traimitr, or the Temple of Golden Buddha, has the claim to fame of housing the largest seated Buddha made out of solid gold. Actually first discovered by lucky accident in 1955, it has now become a favored attraction. Many tourists seek to experience its beauty firsthand. You can find it at the end of Chinatown’s Yaowarat Road, only a few minutes’ walk from Hualamphong MRT Station.
