Shibuya 19, also known as Shibuya Pratunam, is another modern wholesale shopping paradise in the Pratunam area. As the name hints, the decor and theme of this shopping mall is inspired by the famous trendy Japanese neighborhood. A more cozy and perhaps less hectic experience than nearby The Platinum Fashion Mall, bargain-hunting shoppers can enjoy browsing 5 floors of the latest men’s and women’s fashions and accessories. There are also shops selling bolts of fabric at wholesale prices, for home-tailors and enterprising shoppers who don’t want to head all the way to the wholesale fabric markets of Sampeng and Pahurat.

If hunger strikes after the first shopping marathon, there is also a modern food court on the 6th floor. An extensive selection of international and Thai cuisine is represented for everyone to enjoy. There are also local seafood and street food restaurants to try out on the ground level of Shibuya 19, along with a Starbucks and McDonalds. The Glow Hotel is located on top of this shopping complex.

How to get there:

The easiest way from Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam remains by foot. Walk towards the end of the Platinum Fashion Mall and cross the road using the elevated bridge. Walk up a short distance and Shibuya 19 should already be visible. If travelling from other areas in town, there are many options such as taxi, tuk tuk and more. Most convenient would be getting off BTS Ratchathewi and walking around 10 minutes until reaching the mall. In-door car parking facilities are also available for visitors.
